Our Story
The tools for teaching good management
are everywhere.
The tools for making it stick? Almost nonexistent. That gap is why direxio exists.
Origin
How it started.
The Conversation
A Vipassana discussion changes everything
Abhijit was talking with a friend who had just completed a Vipassana retreat. The conversation surfaced a striking realisation: rigorous programs exist to help professionals build the discipline and focus to pursue goals. But there's almost no credible, structured support for the harder question: figuring out what the right goals are in the first place.
NorthStar
The first experiment: a consumer coaching chatbot
Abhijit built NorthStar: a consumer-facing AI coaching companion using coaching principles to help users surface what they actually want from their careers, and build an action plan to get there. The early responses confirmed the hypothesis. The need was real.
The Insight
Complexity demands a human layer
As NorthStar gained traction, a pattern emerged: the hardest coaching moments, high-stakes career pivots, deep-seated behavioural blockers, needed something a pure AI couldn't yet provide alone. Consultation with professional experienced coaches validated the architecture: AI for daily accountability, humans for strategic depth.
The Pivot
Alok joins. The mission goes B2B.
Alok, who had seen the talent development gap from inside an HR tech company, recognised the organisational opportunity immediately. Together, they rebuilt the platform from the ground up as a B2B coaching platform, adding competency framework compatibility, cohort analytics, and accountability partnership as core product primitives. direxio was born.
Our Philosophy
Coaching was never
about diagnosis.
It's about asking the right question, and never letting it drop.
In our earliest prototype, we asked users to type 10-minute essays about their challenges, and tried to have the AI diagnose a personality type from that input. It was high-friction, low-accuracy, and missed what coaching is actually for.
The insight that changed everything: the best coaches, human or AI, get you there by asking, not by telling you what's wrong.
That's why direxio splits the work by strength. AI carries the everyday layer: consistent, structured, always on. A human coach carries the depth, for onboarding when an organisation wants it, and for any moment along the way that genuinely calls for one.
Methodology
How growth actually happens.
A continuous loop, not a one-time assessment: every signal feeds a profile that sharpens over time, and turns into commitments that actually get tracked.
Every Source, One Signal
Onboarding, coaching conversations, journaling entries, and human coach session notes all feed into the same system, not scattered across disconnected tools.
The Living Profile
Every interaction runs through the AI coaching engine and updates your Living Profile: a confidence-scored picture of real strengths and growth areas, sharper with each conversation, never a one-time score.
Your Accountability Partner
Commitments turn into nudges, check-ins, and journaling prompts, so insight doesn't stop at the conversation.
The Team
Built by operators, for operators.
Abhijit Arora
Co-Founder
Abhijit spent 13 years at L'Oréal running regional P&Ls, managing large sales teams, and leading enterprise transformation projects, then 18 months building Minimalist's general trade business from zero to 38 distributors across 50 cities. For the last 3+ years he's been building his own ventures, including a D2C brand and now direxio. That pattern, talented professionals doing the work brilliantly without structured support for the harder questions of direction and growth, shapes direxio's product philosophy: coaching should be as structured and accountable as any other business function.
Alok Inamdar
Co-Founder
Alok is a serial entrepreneur with two successful startup exits and an engineering foundation (Dassault Systèmes). He co-founded CallAtHome (acquired by DriveU), built Mediqal (a digital health platform for medication adherence), and served as Business Head at Mettl, one of India's leading talent assessment platforms. His experience at Mettl gave him a first-row view of the gap between measuring talent and actually developing it. Alok brings the product architecture and entrepreneurial velocity that makes direxio's AI layer possible.
Security & Privacy
Psychological safety is our primary architecture.
PII Scrubbing
All personally identifiable information is stripped from coaching data before it reaches the AI model. Your employees' conversations are never exposed.
Zero Training Leakage
Your organisation's data is isolated and strictly blocked from public LLM training pipelines. Nothing you share ever leaves your own environment.
Tamper-Proof Audit Logs
Immutable log chains tracking every data access event. Built for InfoSec approval and real compliance requirements.
Role-Based Access & SSO
Single sign-on through Okta or Azure AD, with access scoped by role, so only the right people ever see the right data.
